Ten Pin Rules
The ten pin bowling competition will be conducted under the rules set down by the Australian Ten Pin Bowling governing rules except where modified below.

Event
The competition will consist of:
-
an open fours teams event (scratch and handicap)
-
an open pairs event (scratch and handicap)
-
a men’s individual event (scratch and handicap), and
-
a women’s individual event (scratch and handicap).

Shield Points
The total Shield Points available will be based on the formula contained in the General Rules. The points allocated to each event will be distributed evenly.

Format
The Ten Pin competition will be held over 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday).
Each bowler will bowl a three game series each day.
The fours teams event (scratch and handicap) will be contested on Monday.
The pairs event (scratch and handicap) will be contested on Tuesday.
The individual event (scratch and handicap) will be contested on Thursday. A final series will be held on Friday between the top 6 players.

Handicaps
Handicaps will be based over the 9 games played Monday, Tuesday and Thursday using the following formula
100% of the bowlers/team average to 200.
Example: A bowlers average over the 9 games is 147pins. The handicap is 200 - 147 = 53. This is added to the pin fall for the handicap events.

Finals
Individuals Event
Scratch - The top 6 players will play in a final series on the Friday
Handicap – The total pinfall plus handicap of all games will be the winner and runner up of the handicap event.

Pairs & Fours
Scratch – The total pinfall of all the pairs or fours games will determine the winner and runner up of the event.
Handicap - The total pinfall plus handicap each of the players for all the pairs or fours games will be the winner and runner up of the handicap event.

Draws
Should two or more teams or individuals have the same total score in any event, the highest last game shall determine their placing.​
Equipment Requirements

Bowling balls – participants may use their own ball. Bowling balls are available at the centre.

Shoes – ten pin bowling shoes are available at the centre. Bowlers may use flat soled runners as long as they ensure they are free of dirt and stones.​
