  • an open pairs event (scratch and handicap)

  • a men’s individual event (scratch and handicap), and

  • a women’s individual event (scratch and handicap).

Shield Points

The total Shield Points available will be based on the formula contained in the General Rules. The points allocated to each event will be distributed evenly.

Format

The Ten Pin competition will be held over 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday).

Each bowler will bowl a three game series each day.

The fours teams event (scratch and handicap) will be contested on Monday.

The pairs event (scratch and handicap) will be contested on Tuesday.

The individual event (scratch and handicap) will be contested on Thursday. A final series will be held on Friday between the top 6 players.

Handicaps

Handicaps will be based over the 9 games played Monday, Tuesday and Thursday using the following formula

100% of the bowlers/team average to 200.

Example: A bowlers average over the 9 games is 147pins. The handicap is 200 - 147 = 53. This is added to the pin fall for the handicap events.

Handicap - The total pinfall plus handicap each of the players for all the pairs or fours games will be the winner and runner up of the handicap event.
