Soccer Rules
The soccer competition will be conducted under the rules set down by the Federation of International Football Association, except where modified below.

Format
This is an open teams event.

Shield Points
The total Shield Points available will be based on the formula contained in the General Rules.

Format
Each game will consist of two halves of twenty minutes each. A ten minute break will be allowed at half time.
Players who have substituted may come back on.
Any player receiving a red card will automatically receive a one match suspension. Two yellow cards in any given game will result in a red card which will result in an automatic one match suspension.
Any player receiving three yellow cards in the competition will automatically receive a one match suspension.

Ladder points
Points will be awarded as follows:

Win – 3 points

Draw – 1 point

Loss – 0 point
In the event of a forfeit the team that is available to play shall be awarded the winning points. For the purposes of ‘for and against’ the score line will be three-nil (3-0).
In the event of two or more teams finishing with the same number of points, their positions will be determined on a ‘for and against basis’, using the results from the preliminary rounds.

Finals
A final will be contested between the top two teams. Where the competition consists of pools the top two teams in each pool will compete in a finals series.
If the final is tied at full time, ten minutes sudden death (golden goal) additional time will be played. If the teams are still tied, a penalty shoot-out shall be conducted with each team having five penalty kicks with the players on the field at the end of extra time. If the teams are still tied, then sudden death penalties shall decide a winner with the players on the field at the end of extra time.

Rule Modification
The competition will consist of an open team event of six players per side in a round robin competition. Teams may have a maximum of nine players. It will be played on a reduced pitch size with smaller goals.
No slide tackles will be permitted.
There will be no offside, and all free kicks are direct (a five metre rule will apply).
Players are permitted to shoot in the square.
