About the event
Conditions
The Sports Carnival Committee reserves the right to modify or cancel the sport if insufficient nominations are received.
Shield Points
Total Shield Points available for each sport is determined on the number of registered players for the sport. The maximum points that can be allocated to a sport is 25,000.
Rules
The competition will be conducted under the rules set down by Indoor Cricket Australia, except
where modified by the following:
General
The competition will consist of an open team’s event.
A player may play for only one team.
A team shall consist of six (6) players on the court at any one time.
Umpires will be provided.
Games
Each game shall consist of each team bowling twelve (12) six (6) ball overs
Each player shall bowl two (2) overs.
Each batting pair shall bat for four (4) overs.
Points
The competition shall be played on a round robin basis with points being awarded as follows:
> Win 3 points
> Loss 0 points
Final
Teams with the most points from the round robin will advance to the final. If 2 teams are tied,
the team with the better net run rate will advance.
Disputes
During games the decisions of the umpires shall be final.
The Indoor Cricket Coordinator shall resolve any other dispute. Any dispute remaining
unresolved shall be referred to the Sports Coordinator whose ruling shall be final.
